So Much Fun!!
Jianre-M and I met some awesome people and artists. (I even kinda stalked another artists booth, lol when I could with my own work in front of me...) So many people and cosplayers to see and meet!
To the down and dirty part of selling at conventions; we actually lost just a little bit of money on the whole operation (and I mean a very little money) with the expenses etc. factored in, but it was a total social success. We are currently planning next years AX so it should go better and we are also waiting on AX to open up the artist alley badges and tables for sale so we can get two tables (and one more artist ) registered.
Once we get AX tables and badges then we will know how much we have left over to go to other conventions this year or next year. currently we are looking at two for this year... umm PMX in November and I can't remember the other right now srry! I'll ask Jianre-M when I get the chance.
I finally started to upload some of my new work here from Anime Expo 2013 and you might notice that a lot of the pendants are made with pieces of oyster shells. I found a supplier and I love the look of them. I'm debating making them part of my normal inventory or just doing them special until this supply I purchased has run out...Have any thoughts on this?
The only difficulty I am encountering with these as the focal is that I can't reproduce the pearl-essence of the shell in the photographs. Most of my wire work is done to either enhance the colors in the focal piece or to accent it. So some of the pieces I took pictures of at AX13 do not show to their best as I can't get half the colors I was working with to show. Does anyone know anything I could do to fix this? I've tried many different angles and different lighting brightness' but it doesn't seem to help much. I'll get the pearl sheen but not the colors.
Other than that I am having a blast with the different medium from the marble. Though I did a good number of those at con as well.
Thanks for listening!
and to all of you,
Jayetta
Busy Hands...
“Busy hands and idle minds have knitted many a sweater; Busy minds and idle hands have knitted many a brow.”

These last few years have taught me a plethora of lessons but mostly I’ve learned I must keep my hands and head busy or I loose time just floating through life.
Now I am back, taking a more controlled approach to my life!
On to the crafting!!
Jewelry is still in revamp stage. I love wire wrap and chainmaille but over a year ago I needed to change it up a bit. One other craft I love is fiber arts and textiles. I have been experimenting by adding textiles into my designing and that lead me into learning

Last day of Convention Update!
Anime Expo has been a blast! I really really want to thank all of you that have come by to say hi!! it really makes my con when I have people that come back. Everyone has been super nice!
Today being the last day almost makes me sad but I hope that everybody has had a fun and interesting time.
Also as I have been informing the lovely people that visit our booth, I really will be posting everything that is left of my stock after the con onto Jayetta.Artfire.com and then updating anything I make there as well as here. But give me a week or so before you start bugging me Ku? please wonderful manager of mine?

*Bow* My Sincerest Apologies
Hello to all the wonderful people that are still connected to my account.
I would like to extend my most sincerest apologies for basically abandoning my work on here and in real life. I have many reasons and things but they really don't mean much in the big picture. I have done a few works in the last year and a half but most of my time has been spent on other pursuits.
I am currently working on simple projects to get myself back in the swing of things. So I am asking of you out there that used to (and especially those that still do) take a moment of your valuable time to look at my random posts to look again. I am currently working on find
Anime LA Update
Hi All! Turns out I'm right next to the entrance door. Which is incidentally right next to Noah, an awesome artist. He does some really nice watercolor commissions and to the other side is a wonderful artist that for the life of me I can't remember her name. She has been helping me with some questions I was curious about from another venders point of view. Her awesome friend is right next to her and I got some of her buttons to give to a friend of my own.
(I will update this with names and possibly links but I forgot my little pile of business cards so I don't have that info presently.)
From a vender point of view I've been doing alright.
