This is made with a shell I found on the beach as a child. It's wrapped with 20gauge copper wire and 26gauge in red and purple. Hangs on a copper chain.
This was a new area as I hadn't wrapped anything but glass and stones before. It's had it's moments of trouble but I love the result. I hope you enjoy it too! *Update: This piece was featured in =MyntKat's Bi-Weekly Feature 13 - Beach in Artisan Crafts. I want to thank her!! |

" I See You"
Love the name too, I never would have thought of the name as i watched you making this but it's perfect. I can totally see the gradients of the sunrise in the seashell and the stylized waves of the ocean in your spirals of wire. Brilliant!

Smiles!Makes the world a better place!
No, I can, but I will be sad to see it go(when or if it does).
I'm glad you like it. Just a shell off the beach. The color and the wholeness was what caught my eye.I knew it had to be wrapped in copper but I wanted to put the red small wire in too. But the red would over power what I wanted it to project so I add in the mauve color wire and it just hit the right tone. Took some work though. I had to redo some of it. (this pic is after the redo.)
